Do i have any chance? PLEASE!

<p>Do I have a chance at Brown? And while you’re at it…at Vanderbilt, UVA, or NYU? ( :</p>

<p>white female, south carolina, competitive school. most of the following info is probably really insignificant.</p>

4.5ish weighted
probably 3.7ish unweighted? not really sure
top 7% of class</p>

<p>SAT:
v: 770
m: 610 (yeah, i know…)
w: 700</p>

<p>SAT II:
english: 700
us history: 640</p>

<p>Junior APs: Art History (3), US History (5)
Senior APs: English, Statistics, Biology
Mix of AP, Honors, and advanced courses…advanced mostly in fresh. and junior year and mostly in math and science…which I hate.</p>

Nat. French Honor Society
Beta Club
Key Club
National Forensic League (should be at 4th degree by january)
SC Youth in Governement-2 statewide leadership positions
Varsity Golf (only soph. and junior years)

Service Learning Class (I volunteer at four sites for an hour each week. In addition, I do about 15-20 hours of required independent service each quarter.)</p>

<p>It's definitely reasonable for you to apply to Brown, but I don't see anything in your post that would make you really stand out to an admissions officer. There may be something -- make sure it comes through in your essays.</p>

<p>I don't know much about Vanderbilt, but you'd definitely have a better shot at UVA and NYU (both of which are excellent schools but less selective than Brown).</p>

<p>yeah you have a shot. just curious.. vanderbilt vs nyu and brown. wow sounds like 2 totally diff people! i know vanderbilt is not very liberal nor is it a school that boasts social racial integration or open accepance of glbt.. whereas brown is the opposite. what made you chose the schools?</p>
