Do I have ANY chance with a 1780 sat and a 3.7?

<p>Hello! I am just hoping to get some insight on if I making the right choices on which colleges I should apply to, thanks for any advice/tips! I understand that being a home schooler makes it more difficult to chance me but just look at me like any other student.</p>

<p>I'd especially like input on how my course load looks.</p>

<p>SAT Scores:</p>

<p>1st time: 1510 [CR:620, M:440, W:450, E:6]</p>

<p>2nd time: 1780 [CR:690, M:520, W:590, E:8]</p>

<p>3rd time: 1760 [CR:700, Math:500, W:560, E: 8]</p>

<p>Super Score: 1810</p>

<p>I will be taking the ACT and might take the SAT again in October, I haven't decided yet.</p>

<p>SAT II's in June, Bio and Lit, I will take Math I and possibly Chem in the fall.</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>I have a working student under the UNC-Chapel Hill Equestrian team coach/PE Teacher for the past 5 years.</p>

<p>I have had 2 jobs since I was 15.</p>

<p>I was on my Church's youth Council for 4 years, VP for 1 year, I expect to president senior year.</p>

<p>I've been teaching beginner riding at a summer camp for the past 3 years.</p>

<p>I may be volunteering with a Large Animal Vet this summer or trying to get a job at a local pharmacy.</p>

<p>I've bought, cared for and trained my horse (ex-racehorse) from the ground up with no financial help from my parents. I am very committed to her and that is where the majority of my time is spent out side of school.</p>

<p>*Taken through dual enrollment at local Community College.</p>

<p>Recommendation letters will be from my Trainer (UNC PE teacher/coach), my Sociology/Psychology teacher (from the CC), combined letter from the UNC Equestrian Team members (for UNC app only), all I expect to be excellent.</p>

<p>I will not need financial aid. I am in-state for all below except VA Tech.</p>

<p>Chance me for: UNC-CH, NC State, VA Tech, Appalachian, UNC Charlotte, Campbell University.</p>

<p>You’re scores are similar to mine and congrats on the increase. Considering you have great EC’s and reccomendation letters, plus the classes you took, i think you can get into VA tech. UNC-CH i would say about 70-80% you can get in. and i don’t know much about the other schools so i can’t say. but overall you did well enough to get in a lot of good schools. mind you that this forum is full of over-the-top overachivers who would scoff at your SAT scores and transcript. lol. but im no overachiver.</p>

<p>Thanks I appreciate it. CC is very intimidating for me BUT they are what challenged me to try and improve my SAT score. I know I’m not ready for an Ivy, I wouldn’t want to go either since I don’t have the natural intelligence and I wouldn’t survive in one.</p>

<p>So besides my SAT scores, is their anything else I should work on?</p>

<p>I HAD YOUR EXACT SAME SCORES… EXACTLY THE SAME!!! IN THAT EXACT SAME ORDER TOO!.. but the breakdown of the scores was different.</p>

<p>Look at Sewanee:The University of the South. They have an Equessiterrian er… equinestian… no I mean eqquipiean, well they have a horsey program.</p>
