It's really hard to say. Your GPA seems a little low -- but then you've taken a demanding schedule and have great scores and interesting ECs. Also, being from Seattle, WA helps with geographic diversity. I think you're a strong candidate. Go for it! My daughter is having a fantastic experience there -- intense academic load, bright & interesting students. We've seen great strides in her confidence and maturity. Students seem to have enough to do so that is not a problem. The only complaint we have is that it's a little hard to get to and from.

Grinnell has a tradition of accepting many of the nonperfect students, molding them with a nuturing small liberal arts environment where the corn fields will absolutely not allow the student's mind to stray or personality to become lost, and mature that person for entry to postgraduate studies.

Grinnell's greatest example of taking on risky students has been its large participation in the Posse Program. Look it up on the internet and tell others about it . And, then ask yourself how many of the elite schools would do something as radical as the Posse Program. ANd, how many participate EVERY YEAR! And the percentage of the Posse students is about 3 percent of the campus!

You are not necessarily Ivy League, and that is not an insult. You are -- on paper -- a classic Grinnell candidate. Go for it.
