Do i have chances??

senior course: journalism, multivariable calculus, differential equations, ap physics c, ap statistics, ap economics</p>

-participated in school drama(10)
-nat'l tour guide in Korea for visitors(11,12)
-honored reporter of Korean newspaper in Englsih version for teens(11,12), school newspaper reporter and photographer(12)
-dorm proctor(12), usher of graduation(10), school tour guide(11,12)
-english letter interpreter in World Vision(11,12) and lots of community services..</li>

my essay is about Go... people say it's very good...</p>

<p>oh forgot to mention.. i m applying ED 2...</p>

<p>Your "stats" look fine for Swarthmore. They'll cut you some slack on the Verbal SATs since you've only been in the country for 3 years.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I have no idea how to evaluate international student chances. In many ways, it is a separate admissions track from the US students, so the same "odds" don't really apply.</p>

<p>My hunch is that the admissions track for overseas internationals is highly driven by a small number of high schools that have relationships with, and routinely send students to, elite US colleges. As my daughter put it, "why accept a student from a small school in Nepal, when you know that the two or three students you accept each year from the most presitigious Nepal boarding school will be hand-selected as the best students in the country and very well prepared?" Makes sense to me.</p>

<p>I have no idea how they chose among international applicants in US schools.</p>

<p>All you can really do is give it your best shot and see what happens.</p>
