Do I have some chances?

Yeah, I know my college list seems outrageous, but just bear in mind that my school is pretty good at getting kids into top colleges, we get about 30 kids a year into Cornell, with an average of 3.7 for the accepted GPAs at Cornell. Just a small example.

High School Class: 2009
Nationality: Indian, born there, been in the US for about 8 years
GPA: 3.5. This is the killer, I slacked off the first two years, but I do have an upward trend, 3.3-->3.54-->3.8
School: Really, really good public school, lots of kids getting into ivies and tops schools with the exception of MIT
Hoping to Study: Economics/Math

AP Course-load

Sophomore:
AP European History (4)
AP Computer Science AB (4)

Junior:
AP BC Calc: 5
AP US: 4
AP Physics C- Mechanics: 3 (Dammit. I'm not sure how that happened)
AP Chem: 5

Senior:
AP English Literature
AP Physics C- Electricity/Magnetism
AP Statistics
AP Spanish

Yeah, it's the most intensive course-load in my school. I haven't listed honors courses, but lets just say all honors courses that are possible to take have been taken. My counselor will write something of the fact that I have the toughest class list in my grade, which should help.

SAT (Superscored):
Math: 800
CR: 710
Writing: 790
Total: 1510/2300

SAT II's
Math IIC: 770
Chem: 790
Spanish: To be Taken

-Member of School's Model UN Club, might become Vice President next year, has won awards for the school
-Member of School's Academic Challenge Team

Schools

REALLY BIG REACHES
Harvard
UPenn
Brown

Others (Reaches, Matches, and almost NO safeties, I think I'm a high chance at Binghamton due to instate so that will do)
Cornell
Columbia
Georgetown
Tufts
NYU
Northwestern
UChicago
UMich (OOS, safety, our school is a feeder to Michigan)
Binghamton (In-state, Safety)

Also, any recommendations?

I think that 3.5 will hurt you a lot. I know people with 3.9s who got rejected from Yale and Harvard so...you may have trouble. I think the only ones on that list you can be guaranteed to get into are Cornell and Binghamton. More safeties. Unless you think the Indian factor will get you in to fill their minority quota.

oh wow, i saw your list and its almost exactly like mine...

anyways, i think you have a pretty good chance, but you'll have to make all your extracurriculars really stand out. Your teacher recommendations also have a lot of weigh, so be sure to have someone who knows how much you do write you one.

btw, this is based purely on my knowledge gained via beginning to go through, researching and getting advise about the college application process myself...

your SAT scores are really good indeed
but your gpa is way low
although it might give a good impression to the administrative that your gpa is improving...it is still going to hurt you a lot....as it is one of the most importnat factor

your gpa is way low for
Harvard
UPenn
Brown
Cornell
Columbia
Northwestern
UChicago
