Do i have to call the admissions office for canceling the application?

<p>I took SAT in december
i thought i did it great
so i decided to apply some GOOD schools including some ivys.
i already sent them my transcript and recommendations
but not the essays and the applications yet.</p>

<p>i got the Dec Sat score today
and it's disaster.
i see no chance at all for that GOOD schools</p>

<p>i didn't pay the fee, and did not sent the application yet
but sent only the transcript</p>

<p>do i need to tell them that i decided not to submit my application?
or is it okay just not to send them my application without notification?</p>

<p>im thinking of giving up columbia and duke
but then they already got my transcript and recommendation</p>

<p>They won’t start to evaluate your profile unless you have paid the fee and sent in your application. On the other hand, you can also call to let them know to close your file, which contain everything you ever sent to the school. For my schools, they told me to write them a letter stating that I want to close my admissions file. Good luck!</p>
