Do I Have to Retake the SSAT?

Is it necessary to retake the SSAT even if I took it last year and currently attend a prep school now? Or can i just use last years?

Thanks

If it is your plan to reapply to prep school, so that you can transfer to a different school next year, then you should READ THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS for the schools you want to apply to.

You will likely find that the school requires a test done this fall, although some schools will also accept a test taken within 12 months of the school’s application deadline. (So, for example, if you took the SSAT in March or April of last year, that might be acceptable.)

andover and deerfield?

I’m pretty sure andover and deerfield require a recent test score, meaning from this fall. Unfortunately, even if you were to schedule to retake the SSAT this season, I think the January SSAT deadline has already passed, meaning that if you were to take it in February, you would most likely be considered as a late applicant.

I just checked, and the deadline is December 16th for regular registration and December 23rd for late. I should be ok.

Ok, well best of luck to you! :)
