Do I have to send my November SAT?

I’m applying early decision for CALS and have sent all of my three sat scores. On my Cornell application portal, it says my test scores have been received and shows my highest scores in math/reading.

But, my parents are making me take it a fourth time in November because my score dropped from my second to third time. I’m afraid because if I end up getting another lower score, Cornell will see that I have a downward trend.

After taking the sat again, would I have to send my fourth score if they have all of my previous scores?
Would it be best to simply cancel my November sat scores after taking or just not send them because they have all of my past scores?

I guess it would depend on how much of a drop it is. If it is like 34 to 33, I wouldn’t worry. If it’s 30 to 25, then possibly it might play a role.

On a side note, you can see actual test scores on Cornell’s application portal? (I’m assuming this is the ApplicantID thing) When I log in, there are only green checkmarks next to everything they have received with no details and no actual scores displayed.

Since you sent in all your scores through the date that you applied, I see no need to resubmit (and pay for) additional scores to be sent unless they are to your benefit. Once you have submitted a complete application, only send in news of improved scores or major contests won. Likewise, you don’t need to report minor difficulties like a 2nd speeding ticket (unless you are arrested), a B- (unless it puts you on academic probation) or quitting a minor club that was on your application. Not improving your SAT or ACT score does not rise to level of needing report. If it is more serious, consult with your parents and/or GC at school.

And at this point, you have time to prepare for the test so start practicing and thinking positive!
