I'm a junior and i'm taking the sat for the first time in January. I'm registering and I'm confused about the "sending scores" section. It says I have to pick a recipient for my scores. I am probably going to retake the SAT in the future, so do I have to send scores now? What happens when I send my score? Do Colleges keep it on file even though i haven't applied for the college yet? Also, do colleges get all my scores?

Thanks for the help. This is really confusing me!

Yeah, I'm a sophomore, and it's confusing to me too! Well, as far as I know, colleges get all ur scores. U can send ur score to four colleges w/o any charge. U should choose the ones u think u'd apply. Even if u change ur mind later on, never mind, they'd keep ur score and it'd be shredded off. Yes, the colleges keep the score on file even if u haven't applied yet(to the best of my knowledge). Nevertheless, u can always send ur score to any college at anytime for some ten dollars.

For some last few days, I'm feeling like not a lot of people r contributing to SAT Section (esp).

I don't think you need to send the scores now at all because since you intend to take the test in future, your future scores as well as your present scores will be sent to the college you designate in your future SATs.

but please don't take my advice seriously. I don't really know much about it either

I'm having this same problem. I'll probably be applying to more than four schools, so am I going to have to pay the extra money each time I take the SAT? And can I choose to send my scores to a school after I've already taken the SAT and/or gotten the scores back?
