Collegeboard says SAT+Subject Tests or ACT+Subject Tests (A+B or C+B). Common App says A+B or C. I'm submitting both SAT I and ACT with Writing, so do I still have to take 2 subject tests?

no, you can either take the ACT...OR the SAT (Reasoning and subject tests)...so if u have taken the ACT, you are good to go! (Assuming you got a good score)

Just a 31 (with 35 math, which helps if I go into engineering or computer sciences), and I was really thinking about retaking through Standby in October later this month to give myself a shot at a 33 or 34. I might take subject tests on standby and see how I do though.

subject tests can't hurt (unless you do badly on them, of course), but you aren't required to take them as long as you take the ACT

I hate taking these tests on Standby lol with that extra $40, but I think I'll take your advice and take them and see how I do. I want to try 3 of them (Biology, Math II, Spanish), but what if I do good on 2 but bad on 1, then I can't choose which to send, and it looks bad. You think a 33 ACT could make or break me for Duke? My highest subscores are 31E, 35M, 31R, and 30S, so you think it's worth the extra $80?
