Do I have too many internships? Listing internship on resume as 'volunteer'?

I have 4 internships (at the same time) right now. I plan on transferring next year and knowing me I'll probably take on more internships (a lot really don't require that much work, it's surprising). Will it look bad on an application as having 4/5 internships at the same time?

Should I (or can I) list one or two as 'volunteer'? Instead saying, 'I volunteered this many hours for this non-profit organization'? I imagine if a school wanted to check up on it, and I can't imagine why, and called my boss or whomever and asked if I volunteered there, he/she would say yes without thinking about it. It's virtually the same thing.

Someone please help me?

Also, what about internships that aren't so much relevant to your intended major. Three of mine currently are non-profits either trying to help out K-12 schools, genocide prevention, etc. My intended major is economics. Will that reflect badly on my application/resume?

Why dont you just list it as volunteer? Do you know how hard it is to get internship as a high school student let alone 5? Considering you have 5 “internships” its quite possible colleges will contact the places you list but then again i think colleges know some people just list it to get points and hs internships are sometimes bs unless you publish something worthwhile or intern at some prestigous place… be honest you dont want to not get in cause of this small small detail :)

I’ll be a college sophomore in September. I also live by NYC so internships are abundant. I have a good GPA and interview skills which gives me a leverage in getting these internships. 2 of them are virtual too so all I have to do is open my laptop and make a few phone calls. So yeah, no, I’m not in high school.
