Teacher recs: haven’t seen them but I’m pretty sure they’re amazing (one teacher actually asked for more time to make it as “perfect” as possible :))

Essays: the general consensus was that they were amazing (I tend to disagree) so let’s just assume that they were average/good :p

What do you think??

Yes, you will have a pretty fair shot.
You are scholastically very impressive, but MUN seems kind of common these days and I hope you will have a good story for the committee.

I just took a quick browse through, and you seem quite strong.

Good luck.

Thanks, bobow98!!!

I totally understand what you mean by MUN being such a popular extracurricular activity (it IS awesome, after all ;)). I’m hoping, though, that once admissions sees that I want to major in international relations, then they’ll understand my extracurricular choices a little more :)

Would anyone else mind sharing their opinion? Please? :)

I’d say you have more than a fair shot- you have a really good chance! Academics and extracurriculars are pretty outstanding… I don’t go on this website that often, but this is definitely one of the better profiles I’ve seen for Bowdoin! I hope you get in!

Wow, walkerita, that was by far the nicest and most encouraging response I’ve ever received!

Your response kindled a spark of hope that I carried around with me all day at school - so thank you :)

I know it’s probably not easy for ANYONE to get into a school like bowdoin, but it’s wonderful to know that I at least have a chance (be it a fair one or a good one!!!)

Anyone else mind posting their views?
