Do I need a math class my senior year?

I have taken Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, precalculus, and AP Calculus AB. I have met the requirement for 4 years of math. I signed up to take AP Statistics, but my counselor said that, for scheduling reasons, I wouldn’t be able to take it unless I dropped Independent Research. I chose to stay in research, and get rid of AP Stats.

Now, my question is whether I should take Discrete Math 1 and 2, or if I should use the space in my schedule to take something fun (like photography). Do colleges/universities put any value in taking Discrete Math? Will they be concerned by my lack of a math class my senior year if I take photography?

Discrete math is most applicable to computer science, but often comes with practice in mathematical proofs and logic that can be helpful if you major in math or philosophy (or otherwise want practice in logical thinking, like if you are pre-law).
