<p>I live in the US but I want to go to the UK for medical school. My school offers IB, but my brother and sister did IB, but they had problems when getting college credit and other stuff. My parents said that I shouldnt do it, but I think it could help me. Is the IB diploma necessary</p>
<p>My primary question: why do you want to go to the UK for medical school? If it’s because you go direct instead of the US route of bachelor’s then medical school, that in itself is not a good enough reason. If you want to end up practicing in the US, go to medical school in the US.</p>
