<p>also.. st georges contacted me for admissions. i posted my stats on this site and they sent me information (i guess they were recruiting more kids with strong academics)... so, wouldn't that say that they're looking for more kids like me? and thus, i have a better chance of getting in?</p>

<p>Yes Blairt..and how exactly did St. Georges admissions adcom get your address?? Not to put your spirits down, but I've been getting brochures from Mercersburg, Episcopal, and cate for a while.. I think it has to do with taking the ssat or something..?</p>

<p>safety schools like mercersburg sent info to everyone...it really suprised me when SGS conitacted me because i love their school (i summer in newport and surf right by their school..thats when i first became interested in BS) frankly, i have a list of these NE schools that won't stop bothering me (kent, hebron, purnell, mercersburg).. i guess they're just doing their job, but i never asked once. but it makes me feel bad i'm not applying.</p>

<p>i looooooove newport. i love newort so much. i love the sailing, the surfing, the tennis hall of fame, the little shops ivebeen going to forever, st georges, the pier, the house, my cousins, the salty air and hunks of fudge on thames st and colonial museums and the ny yacht club's steep hill that you can run down and fall flat on your face and the old little wooden boats and golfing with my uncle and the best fireworks ever and going to parties with my crazy cousin and skateboarding down the crazy hills and the tiny cute little movie theater that only shows like 2 movies a week lol and the vintage shops and jumping off the bridge and hanging out w/ the SGS crowd and the islands andd.. oh man.....man i miss it so muchhhhh. california BLOWS. </p>
<p>california is.. eh. maybe i'm spoiled, but it gets boring after a while. you live in NY! i think that's much more interesting. california is just so glamorized. the kids here are like.. well, in the nice neighborhoods (LA region), everyone is just.. jaded and so used to being rich that everyone is hooked on coke after a while.. really. many kids commit suicide (drugs or hangings most typically).. i think that wealthy families in the east keep their kids more grounded and humble (well, some times).. and just.. less consumed by money. maybe it's just because theres soo much wealth here that its over exposed (and the glamour and whatnot)..... i'm sick of cali, really. i'm dieing to go back to school in the east.. man, i miss newport. i think i might be able to go visit when i visit the schools (after decisions on march 10th)..ugh</p>
