Do I need to have a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy in order to go on to get my Master's in OT? Or can I major in something else? (as long as I have the prereqs)

As long as you have the pre-reqs you can apply to the graduate programs.

If you are serious about this profession, talk with a couple of people who are working in the field and get their thoughts on the best way to start. They will have useful ideas for you.

If you are serious about OT, investigate it now.

Apply for a 5 year program. For a reasonably priced state school, try SUNY Buffalo. Don’t know of other state schools or their costs for OOS, but I’d check it out. Even if $$$ do not matter, I’d still recommend a state U. No need to go private and spend the extra $$. The OT license in the end will get you the job!!!
