Do I need to notify the colleges I applied to if I drop a 'planned' community college course?

I’m still in HS and am applying as a freshman. I wrote on my application (UC and CSU) that I had a community college course ‘planned’ to take in the Spring 2022 semester. However, I just found out today that I actually don’t need to take this course because by taking a previous one I had already fulfilled the requirement. I am definetely dropping this course and may possibly add a new one instead. Do I need to let the UC’s and CSU’s know about this change? Thanks!

According to UC you need to notify them if you change any planned courses you listed when you apply. See After you apply | UC Admissions

CSU may have a similar requirement, you’ll need to check their website

For the CSU’s, you need to email each individual campus and let them know you will be dropping the course. Make sure you include you CSU application # and any other pertinent information. Keep any documentation you receive back just in case there is an issue later.
