<p>You can be selective about which recs to send to which schools and you do not need to send all of them to every school. On the common app you choose your recommenders on a school by school basis and can invite different teachers for different schools. Some schools require two recs, some require one and a few just want your GC and no teachers at all. Some allow you to submit extra recs, and others discourage extra recs.</p>
