Took AP Calc AB and AP Chem, but those scores aren’t worth reporting.
I’m also taking AP English Lit, AP Government, AP Econ, and AP Statistics this year, and I’m planning on 4’s or 5’s for all of them.
EC’s and other stuff (I apologize for how oddly formatted some of this is, but there’s no best way to write all of this without copying and pasting a resume)
-Head Ambassador senior year, Student Ambassadors 10-12 grades (helps the admissions department represent the school to prospective families)
-NHS member 10-12 grades, Treasurer my senior year
-Band 7-12 grades: Clarinet Section leader (9th grade), Woodwinds Captain (10th grade), Woodwinds Captain and Tenor Line Captain (1th grade), and Drum Major (12th grade)
-Founder and President of my school’s Law Society, 11-12 grades
-Student Voice Columnist for the Dallas Morning News, 12th grade, 1 of 7 students chosen out of the entire Dallas Metroplex (Senior Year)
-Library Council, 12th grade. Meant to create dialogue with parents who challenge any reaching choices at the school (and hopefully convince them otherwise); the HS member (only one is chosen out of the entire school)
-Social Studies Captain (Senior Year) for my school’s Academic Team, 12th grade (in team since 10th grade)
-President of the [School Name] Innovators; senior year. App we use to post school photos, I was handpicked to lead the group of students who oversee it.
-1 of 50 students chosen in the diocese of Dallas for our annual Nicaraguan Mission Trip, went the summer after 11th grade
-Music Teacher/Tutor at economically disadvantaged elementary school across the street, 12th grade
-My school’s admissions department intern, 11-12th grades
-Trinity River Audubon Center Volunteer, 9-10 grades
-Played at the House of Blues in my rock band, 9th grade
-National Spanish Exam Silver medalist, 10th grade
-National Spanish Exam Honorable Mention, 11th grade
-BSA Eagle Scout, 9th grade
-Received the highest honor roll at my school every semester that I’ve attended here, from 6th grade to 11th grade (plan to get it my senior year for both semesters too)
My personal take: My grades are somewhat weak, but my EC’s are pretty strong and hopefully make up for it a bit. My scores are about average, if not hopefully a little above. I’d like to think I’m a decent candidate. Not the strongest, but definitely not the worst either. Agree or disagree?
