Do I stand a chance to get any Scolarship?

Hello,

I'm going to be ending my jr year very soon, and I guess it is time to think about scholarships. Although I want to apply for scholarships, do I really stand a chance? I've taken honors classes and gotten B's in them.

My overall gpa is 3.333

I've done some volunteer work in the past

Japanese earth quake fundraiser

Plan on volunteering at a hospital over the summer

Extra circular

SkillsUSA for two years

I've only realized now how important grades are (I was stupid freshmen year getting many C's), and volunteering is. Is there any chance that I can get a scholarship with my unflattering performance?

GPA is often only a part of scholarship qualifying. Usually you need a high SAT or ACT as well (high for the school).

What are your scores?

There are scholarships that you can get that are need based so they look at grades and activities plus the amount of need you have. I would suggest applying for local scholarships because less people apply for them than national scholarships so they’re a lot more realistic for anyone to get, and apply for as many as possible. Your grades and volunteering are fine and won’t take you out of the running

Talk to your GC about what scholarships are available.
