I am a freshman in college at the local community college after choosing not to go to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I've received a 3.333 GPA last semester. I sent in my application to Indiana University at Bloomington 6 months early and then my transcripts about a month ago. I've been stressing out like crazy these past few weeks. I'm taking 17 credit hours this semester so I have a total of 26 credit hours at the time of transfer so I don't have to show my High School transcripts and ACT score (Which I'm not proud of). I am a very active member in my community, I received an athletic scholarship at my comm. college, I'm applying as an out-of-state resident...umm..I was invited into Phi Theta Kappa which is the 2 year college honor society...I'm just wondering if my GPA isn't good enough. The minimum for consideration into the college is a 2.5...and there are no required courses to transfer...And for transfer, do they wait until May to tell me if I get in or will they inform me that I am accepted based off of my first semester grades and then they just check to make sure I didn't fail any classes for my second semester?

Sorry for the long paragraph...just making sure I get everything out..thank you!
