Do i take the D in french, or retake the class?

So here i am posting becuase i see no way out of this

I'll most likely end up making a D or maybe a C if im lucky in my french class.

Now i really want to go to GT, but should i just retake the class next semester and hope for a better grade, or will GT realise it is a useless class compared to physics or calculus?

I have a 33 math 35 english, so my act scores i guess are alright.

I would not want to take the class over again because i hate it, but I have 2 open periods next semester. What do i do?

Push for a C it is better then the D and if not then retake it because a D is bad.

"my ACT scores I guess are alright"!?
your ACT scores are AMAZING! I got a 31 math 34 english (31 composite) and got in handily (they told me my decision before they told other people who applied around the same date as me, says my admissions officer).

But I would say retake the class. it shows initiative.

Useless? GT has a campus in France, and the former provost was French (he's now the head of CalTech). Gone are the days that languages were considered useless, I think. You can see evidence of that in the fact that non-GA students pay the in-state rate when they study abroad at GT (so GT's subsidizing study abroad to encourage more students to go overseas!).
