Do Ivies share applicant info?

yes. do ivies share applicant info, like a list of applicants?

Don't game the system. You'll game yourself right into trouble if you were thinking about breaking the ED contract etc.

Listen, don't even THINK about it...

List of applicants? No.
List of students admitted ED? Yes.
Once admitted Somewhere ED, the Ivies consider your application to them withdrawn. That is why they share the lists.

what about EA?

You'll be knocked off any ED list if you apply somewhere EA, period.

Do not go there, period.

do the share financial aid info? if i apply aid to one but not the other.. will it matter?

no, you are within your rights to apply for financial aid to a needblind college, and not to one that isn't.

and to respond to the original OP, both the EA and ED college will rescind any admission offer if they find you have been dishonest.

Not sure what current practices are, but anyone interested in the question of financial aid info sharing might want to take a look at US v. Brown University, a fairly well-known antitrust case from the 90's.

OP doesnt need to play around. This guy has 2400 on his SAT and some neat stuff. But who knows...

You'll be knocked off any ED list if you apply somewhere EA, period.

Do not go there, period.

^

false. you CAN apply somewhere ED and EA at the same time. It's just that:
1. If you get ED, you have to go there
2. Neither is restrictive ED/EA

It's not false, it's partially false. Some ED colleges permit you to apply EA elsewhere while others don't, and ED and SC/REA are exclusive.

ok from what i gather, they aren't allowed to share applicant lists (wouldn't that violate Sharman Anti-Trust, cus they are basically forming a cartel in terms of admission if they share info) but they DO share accepted students list to make sure they aren't double-crossed.

am i right?

^ yes ... and they can NOT share their financial aid offers either (same constraint of trade problem)
