do legacies help?

<p>this is not for me but i have a very good friend who loves UNC, both of her parents graduated from UNC
will this help her, as an OOS student? i don't have her exact stats, but she is a good student with all As and decent test scores</p>

<p>yeah, it will help. Not as much as in the past, but it definitely gives you a better chance.</p>

<p>I defintely think it helps. I didn't think I would get in, coming from such a competitive county, but being a legacy probably sent me into the "accepted" pile.</p>
