??????????????????????

Nooooooooooooo.

So... how do you proove that you did volunteer work?

They take your word for it.

You don't have to prove it. THey pretty much take your word for it. But nothing looks more boring than a laundry list of volunteer hours. It's nice to tie it into your life, your goals, your feelings in an essay or at least a short answer, and have your recommenders comment on it as well. Lies have short legs and the world of college admissions is a heck of a lot smaller than you would think. Not smart to lie about this, because it really isn't that important unless you did some spectacular earthshattering deed. But if you are caught lying or exaggerating.... it can be important. The regional director of admissions of a selective college chaired a big deal walk/charity event in our area. Definitely bad luck if you lied about your role in the thing or said you went and did not, and happen to have her bring it up in an interview. Has happened.

oh ok, I thought dchow08 was being sarcastic lol

The only sort of "proof" that I've heard that colleges require is the UCs' random selection of 10% of their applicants for verification of something on their apps.
