Do my classes really matter?

So I go to a small performing arts high school, and because of the focus on the arts (also budget cuts) there aren't really a lot of rigorous courses for me to take and some of the ones that are available I can't take because of scheduling conflicts. For example this year I really wanted to take my 3rd year of spanish but I couldn't because there was only one level 3 spanish class and it was during one of my studio periods. My school also only has 3 AP classes available for me so I am taking one this year (junior year) and the other 2 next year. Will it look like I'm just not challenging myself? Also what can I do to make myself look better to colleges (besides better SAT scores)? Thanks in advance

Don’t worry, colleges will see that yours school only offers 3 AP classes. I would suggest taking Spanish 3 next year if possible, since some schools require this third year. Colleges will look at your classes in context of your school. Just keep working hard this year, do well in your classes, study hard for the SAT, spend lots of time with extracurriculars.
