You read it, this is the official Penn ED decisions thread in the Penn class of '12 forum.

Hah, so what, only kids who are ACTUALLY penn '12 are allowed? :(

No, read the title. This forum is for all people who applied ED to Penn for the class of 2012. It says Decisions, that means when you get your decision on 12-14 at 5:00 PM you can post this forum. I'm not arrogant. I don't assume I'm getting in. I have around a 25% chance of getting in early (I hope I have my stats right), and a 75% chance of being in the majority and getting deferred or rejected. That being said, I hope this is the last post on this forum until 5 days, 22 hours and 56 minutes from now.

How do you know decisions will be announced Dec 14 at 5pm?

You should've received a letter with password, id, time of announcement, and other info.
If not, your screwed. lol
just kidding. You can get your id and password online at Penn's website.

I did not get a letter (I hope it was just a mistake of my postman), but admissions office emailed me my password and id. What else did the letter say besides the id and password?

Can you please add an option into the stats for acceptance/defer/rejection that states whether or not Penn requested your Q1 grades?

I can add a line about 1Q grade reports where you can talk about if you sent them, if your 1Q grades were good or bad, etc. I think you were supposed/ encouraged to send them and I don't think that is even a consideration in admissions decisions but what the heck it'll be interesting to see. Some kids (like me) voluntarily sent in our 1Q grade reports because they were beneficial to our application, so it'll be interesting to see how kids do who sent their grades in versus kids who did not versus kids who were forced to send their grades in.

I took this from the ED 2007 page, and added the 1Q thing
