I play tennis occasionally at a local park, but I am by no means good at it. I’m not very interested in sports or good at them in general, but I know that the colleges I wish to apply to look for sports involvement. Will my tennis count towards this?
this seems like an activity, much like reading books or cooking is. It’s fine to list tennis as an interest, but I don’t think it is going to get you many points toward athletics.
No college cares about sports involvement except maybe the service academies (West Point, etc). You are mistaken about that. They do want students to do some extracurricular activities, but there is no need for it to be a sport.
