To sport or to not sport?

I am severily unathletic and my mile time is frankly embarassing. I heard it’s good for students to participate in sports and I might join track for the spring but think I could spend my time doing other things.
Do colleges really care about sports? And I’m talking c-team, no varsity, purely participation award type of thing.
What do they care more about if they don’t?

Nope, they don’t care. Get involved in things that interest you, sports aren’t the only way to get involved.

Do ECs you are interested in and get involved in a meaningful way. Unless you are a recruited athlete a sport counts for no more than any other EC activity.

Go deep on something for EC. Chess Club, Key Club, tutoring special needs kids, a sport. Just get involved with something for all four years that you care about. Do something with passion. Show up. That’s what colleges ike to see.

*Like to see. sorry for they typo!
