I have noticed many people greeting their acceptance letters from cal poly today for engineering, but i have still received no decision. i applied for mechanical engineering. does cal poly usually send their rejection letters after all the acceptances go out?
Edit: one more question, did cal ploy send you an email when you get accepted or did you guys have to check your portal?
Last year, rejections were posted on the SLO portal on March 10. No snail mail acceptances or rejections are sent. Also acceptances continued through early March so there is still plenty of time.
@gumbymom Thank you, but does cal poly send you an email if you are rejected too. because i know many colleges such as riverside that don’t even notify you if you get rejected and you have to go and check on their portal to find out.
My son last year just checked the portal and found the rejection posted first but they sent an email a day or 2 later than their was an application status update.
Hi! I was accepted as an Electrical Engineering major. I am not sure when though. When I found out that the engineering acceptances were starting to get sent out, I checked my portal. They did not send me an email.
I got accepted from the portal yesterday and have not received an email as of yet. So far only acceptances have been released, so it’s likely that rejections follow suit.
So if a student hasn’t been accepted yet, is it fair to assume rejection?
