Do schools prefer their own app. over the Common App.?

<p>I would hope that Common App was tracking this data. If a college pledges to accept it equally, then they should accept it equally. </p>

<p>RTR, sorry, didn’t mean to offend about the point of the thread. Just the length of the discussion. For those who were implying that their kid was declined because they used the Common App instead of the school’s app… I doubt it. Colleges decline kids for a zillion reasons, many of which make no sense to someone who wasn’t sitting in the discussion when the admissions folks were trying to assemble a class.</p>

<p>If a college is telling me they prefer online, I’d submit online. (I have yet to hear a college say they prefer paper. Some love online so much they’ll waive your fee for submitting online). And if they say they are happy with the Common App, I believe that too.</p>
