Do some major universities really not count frosh grades?

haha that's the case w/ me too radron0mega

omg i did so freaken bad in frehsman grade hree 70's and then after that nothing below 98 wow, why is it that as time progresses things get harder this sucks for us its not fair theyre coutnign it now

dont forget ann arbor and chicago

haha I guess most schools count them :(

Officially, the UCs do not. BUT, they do see them, unlike in the dark ages Frosh grades were not even reported. Also, even for some private schools that do not count frosh grades, they DO count class rank, which would include frosh grades....

^ I don't remember putting them on my app when I did it this last year, but then again, I hardly remember half the thing.

edit - Oh, no, wait, I do sort of remember it now, I remember filling out classes and the app counting a-g classes, so I must have put in frosh grade. >.>;; Nevermind, ignore me, bluebayou is right.

what if you school doesn't rank? OR actually do all schools secretly rank?

haha well most schools count them. some big name universities don't though. still...just keep working hard. i'm almost finished with soph year (last final tomorrow yes!) and i feel stupid for working hard in middle school and to an extent elementary school (omg). yeah its regrettable for me that some schools don't look at frosh grades...my freshman grades were amazing. um...can't say that about soph year. oh well i'll work harder next year!
