If colleges say they dont look at freshman grades...

What do they mean?

I have a 3.9 not counting freshman year
I have a 3.65 counting freshman year

If colleges say “we dont count freshman grades”
than do they mean

They cut out freshman year totally from the
admin. process and recalculate cumulative GPA without
freshman year

or

Dont “look” at frosh year but still count it for
cumulative GPA?

Interested in Michigan mostly, but Im wondering about what
it generally means

Thanks

2 is correct.

I think its more like #1

Friend had 86 frosh year, which is around a B and then 97 next 2 years and got into stanford which doesnt look at freshman grades.

I'm pretty sure its #1 because almost all colleges recalculate your gpa to their own standards.

For Michigan, it is #1.

UC's, Stanford, PRinceton, Michigan..are #1

Oh sheesh... my freshman year was good t_t. Maybe they'll cut out my sophomore year? ;)

All number one.

man..ppl here take freshman year WAAAYY too seriously.

well the difference between a 3.6 and a 3.9 is pretty significant....especially when it comes to selective schools.
