Do the admissions office/other school services prefer being given documents in person or by email?

Sorry it’s a weird question but i’m planning on submitting documents to the admissions office of my college (it’s a review of residency status form) and i just got curious if people who work there actually prefer being sent documents by email or in person. i could do either way but i kinda just want to email them rather than go to the school and drop it off since it’s currently summer and there’s no classes

Check the forms to see if they specify how to turn them in. If not, email should be fine, especially during the summer. If you email them and they would rather you turn in a hard copy, they should let you know.

Admissions people process a huge amount of papers. Unless there is only one, your materials may not get to the correct person quickly. Hand delivery of papers is a good plan for getting your stuff lost or delayed. Computer transmission is more likely to ensure that your papers get to the right person, are maintained securely in an electroni c format and wont get mislaid.

If they have a preference, they will say so. If they don’t it’s your choice.

Email seems preferable to me… I mean there are students that go to colleges from all around the country/world, it would be weird to process a lot of documents through in person drop offs.
