Do they post decisions online and how long to get one?

My son applied about 4-5 weeks ago, his app. is complete, how long do you think it will take to get a decision? Also do they post both acceptances and rejetions online and last does Michigan historically favor SAT over GPA or vice versa? Which is put more emphasis on? The more my son has gotten to know about this school, the more interested he is. Thanks for any input.

It takes about 8-12 weeks according to website.

The adcoms post, at the very least, acceptances online, but not all. Rejections and deferrals pretty much all go in the mail (I haven't seen anybody deferred/rejected online.)
3/4. GPA and SAT/ACT scores are both important, but GPA, I would say, is more heavily weighted.

You can check the status of his application online, as Michigan will send him an email about. I received a decision about a month after they listed my last materials (teacher rec) as "received" on their website. It took them about 2 weeks to list everything as received.
Total time = 6 weeks.
