Do transfers have to be after 2 years?

Well, I posted on here a while ago about how family pressure forced me to UC Davis instead of UC Santa Barbara where I belong, and now after having been at Davis for a short while as an undergrad I have a better understanding of Davis and I want to be at Santa Barbara more and more. Why? location (I grew up in the coastal hills, can't stand waking up and not seeing the mountains, love the beach, don't like the smell of cows...), and social scene/people. My question is, do I have to wait until I complete my second year at Davis, or is there a way to transfer to Santa Barbara sooner? When SB considers my transfer application, how will they evaluate it compared to when I was applying from high school? Also, it seems that the dorms are really a great way to meet people and make friends...how does this work out with transfer students? Can someone please give me some advice here--this whole situation is really getting to me.

U need 60 semester units or 90 quarter units doesn't matter who long it takes u to accumulate them. There are also like 2 eng classes reqs, math class, and some other stuff that i can't state off the top of my head. But those are the important elements. good luck

U're also in luck that SB does winter transfers.
