Do UCs still want SAT II scores?

I know that the UCs no longer require SAT II scores, but realistically, are they still taking SAT IIs into account when looking at admissions?

How many people are still submitting them, and did it make a difference at all in whether you were admitted?

Thanks!

Although they are not required, you can still send them in. They won’t penalize you for not submitting, but submitted scores will be taken into consideration during the evaluation process.

In the form ,they still ask you to fill and I think it is better to fill.

Supposedly you get brownie points if you have high scores and you are not penalized if you do not take the tests. Personally I don’t see how you can reward high scores without penalizing low/no scores, but that’s just my opinion.

So, officially they aren’t required, but they might give you extra points if you submit them.

That’s certainly a mixed message!

Just one of many.
