I know there is an option for Score Choice, but for to schools that require all scores to be sent( and thus NO score choice) and where the score on the SAT II serves as a supplement, can I just send my SAT 1s? I have done moderately well on the SAT I ( around a 2200 my first time) but I may have to work with some sub 700 scores on the SAT II's.
For schools like the UC's, do I have to submit all scores I had already taken to the UC's even if SAT II aren't required? And if so, will I have to send in all SAT 2's from a single subject, like 2 takes on the Bio E? I don't know why SAT II's are so hard for me, but I cant seem to be able to score well on those exams. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, UCs require you to send all of your scores. I asked a Berkeley rep about it.

Ok, thanks. So why do they not require SAT II’s but you have to send them anyways if you took it? Shouldn’t they allow score choice for SAT II’s because they are not required anymore for admissions?

That is not my understanding of the current UC rule. Since SAT IIs are now optional, you are required to send only all SATs but can choose which SAT IIs to send. Stanford has the same rule. The problem that is going on is that UC reps are giving out conflicting information as some have reported calling reps and being told IIs are optional and you can send any IIs you want but you need to send all SATs and others that you need to send both. It is a likely indication that some reps are aware there has been a change since UCs went SAT II optional and others are still spouting last year’s rule.

As to colleges in general, you really need to check each college. Those that actually require “all scores” have several variations of what that means and it ranges from requiring only all SAT scores to actually requirring all SAT, SAT II, and ACT scores, with variations in between those two bookends.
