Do we get to choose our Profs?

When we go for orientation, do we get to chose our profs? Can anyone who has already gone to orientation tell me?

I might sign up for pick a prof.

Thanks,
Sam

yes you do get to choose the professors. you can look at the profs now by logging into to onestart and choosing register for classes. go to ratemyprofessors.com, pick a prof is a scam

You're probably only going to get to choose a few of them - I got to choose two. Sometimes, it's because there is only one prof for the class. Sometimes it's because they don't designate a prof. Sometimes your time restrictions prohibit you from choosing.

One thing you probably won't think to do but you should is look at the class cap. Often, different sections of the same class are capped at different numbers. Example: Microeconomics had two sections of a 250 person cap, and two sections of a 50 person cap

Does anyone know the average class size???

I think it's like around 35, but freshman classes are bigger, because basically everyone takes the same classes. My Psychology class I think has 250 people, but I know my SM class had only around 30 spots in it.

So usually after your freshman year, your classes are around 35.
