do we have to send a hard copy of MPN to berkeley?

I've already done the entrace counseling and electronically filled out my MPN for the stafford and perkins loan. But do i still have to send an actual signed one to Cal??????????????????

I'm worried because our first payment is due on Aug 15 and they might not give me the loans...

Your Stafford is with the loan company, not with the school. The school could care less where your tuition is coming from. ...

Be sure that you understand the MPN. Do not skim through it, which you apparently did because it describes your obligations to the loan company, not the school.

As long as you followed the schools instructions for completing the MPN, you should not be required to submit the paper copy to the FA Office. However, if you went with a lender other than one they recommend or if you completed the MPN through the lenders website instead of following the schools instructions, then you will need to send the paper copy to the school. While a school doesn't care how the tuition gets paid, if it is through a Stafford Loan, federal regulations require a copy of the MPN be in your FA file at the school.
