<p>Today, I received an email telling me that if I want my Perkins Loan to pay, I must complete a loan counseling session and a loan master promissory note. However, it does not mention when I have to accept this loan by and complete all of these requirements to receive it. Can anyone who previously took out this loan provide some guidance? Thanks</p>
<p>My son has this loan. Do this right away. It’s very easy to do and only takes about 15 minutes total. You can do all of it on StudentLoans.gov</p>

<p>I’m not sure what the deadline is to accept it. I would call financial aid and ask them directly. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.</p>

<p>Did you get the confirmation email from the Department of Education? On that, it says the MPN will be forwarded to Berkeley within 24 hours.</p>
