<p>for sure, and ya the pool thing is true i was just looking through the UCI website, if you go to admissions and then click on "So youve applied now what?" and then appeals information...its near the bottem...</p>
<p>I just hope I get into UCI...cuz I do live right there..it's what we've planned out really...Just gotta hope that my app's mistakes won't get me...it was that I originally filled out my app with jobs/earnings use..and then i "reset" the form for the jobs thing cuz I didn't want to discuss it...and then my earnings box-"what i did with my earnings" was filled in...and I submitted my app as such..."no job, but had earnings"...so I don't know if that'll affect me or not.</p>
<p>I doubt it...anyway since im HITE certified (TAA) for UCI, am i guaranteed a position as long as I meet the requirements right? Thats what i wuz told and thats what the UCI site seys...?right? lol cuhz i havent been accepted yet</p>
<p>Ok, question about this "pool" thing.</p>
<p>Just read up on it. Now, a week ago, I got a thing from UCR saying "just email us your name, app id, and major and we'll do all the work for you!" and a "111 reasons you should go here" book. Was that because I'm in the pool??? Anyone else get that?</p>

<p>You should be fine, and it means you definitely have a backup at least. It probably doesn't mean anything bad.</p>
<p>maximaboy i did the SAME thing you did with the job part! i felt soooo horrible after when i realized that my "what will i do with earnings" box was still filled in. i was like oh my goodness. but everyones been reassuring me and telling me its no big deal... so hopefully its true!</p>

<p>Is cal poly SLO more competitve for entrance than UCI? B/C it doesn't make sens by definition that a Cal state is more competitve than a UC since they're suppose to take in the top 25% while UCs the top 12.5%.</p>
<p>But i was looking at their admittiance rate and UCI is around 60% while SLO was at 47%.</p>

<p>I don't think it's actually more competitive, b/c in general UCI applicants have higher stats, so while Cal poly admits a smaller %, the stats of that %age are lower (I have no idea if this is actually correct though, too lazy to look up stats)</p>
