The teacher is Sy. Do we need the textbook called Essentials of Understanding Psychology

Look for the online version. It’s cheaper and you honestly don’t need a hardcopy. I went through psych 1 and 2 just through looking at the power points that the professor provided.

Is it bad to rent it? How am I going to study for the tests?

As a rule of thumb, buy the book if it’s a series class such as Chemistry 1A, 1B, 1C, because it splits the cost into quarters so it’s worth it. Rent the book if it’s only going to be for 1 quarter such as History 10 or something.

^ Very smart. Also, in regards to books for series like that, buy the lab books used… ucr12345, there’s always psych books in the reserves at the library. It’s always better to buy the book, of course, but there’s a lot of ways to get by without doing so! I bought my psych books for both 1 and 2 and ended up barely opening them :(
