People at school give me a lot more credit than I deserve. They don’t realize that my high grades and test scores only exist due to my study habits, not my natural intelligence (which I seem to be devoid of in some cases hahaha). So, sure, you could say my work ethic is smart, but anyone can have a smart work ethic, it’s just that not everyone is willing to.
And I just act like a normal person - I don’t use elevated language (unless I really need it), I hang out and have fun with my friends, I crack (sometimes stupid) jokes all the time. The only case where people start to see the nerdy, “smart” side of me is when I talk about astronomy (cause I just eat that stuff, I loooove it). Otherwise, there wouldn’t really be any way to tell that I have good academic stats just by talking to me. In a way, I love this because some people are sort of uncomfortable and less inclined to be your friend when they realize what kind of student you are.
