I know the QB app is very unique since it can highlight circumstances that may be over looked with a common app, but do you still turn in a common app alongside the QB app? And do you turn it in to QB or the colleges directly (if you become a finalist)?

And if you do can/have to turn in a common app with QB's, then couldn't you already start and nearly finish the common app or does the common app vary from year to year? If it is the same things each year, then it would be nice to complete it before you have to do the QB app so you don't get overloaded.

For some of the schools like Rice, Northwestern…, you don’t need to turn in the Common App (for ED and RD) but you do need to turn in their supplements. For some schools like UPenn I believe, you don’t need to turn in the Common App (for ED) but you do need to turn it in for RD. For some schools like Columbia and Princeton, you do need to turn in the Common App along with the QB app for both ED and RD. You should look at the college requirements.

You could start the common App but you do need to w8 till the 2011-2012 one comes out first to start which I believe is around Aug. 1 (if you get an account for the common app before then I believe it gets wipeout on Aug. 1). The common app, I have been told, doesn’t usually change but sometimes there are some changes here and there.
