You know, I read somewhere that intelligent people (on tests at least) tend to significantly undervalue how smart they are, while normal people overshoot by a ton. Food for thought (I don’t believe in anybody’s, unless they are very very smart. Everybody thinks they are in the 80th percentile in smartness, which is true for well, 20% for the population, which obviously isn’t true)

never.
it depends how smart the people around them are…like people said, big fish in small pond or small fish in big pond.

^For me, CC turned my small (or moderate) pond into an ocean. I’m just trying to keep up.

do you believe skinny people when they say they’re fat?

^Yes. Then I agree out loud. And watch the sadness and depravity rise from their soul into the back of their eyes. I love it.

Skinny Friend: Does this make me look fat?
Me: Yeah.
Skinny Friend slaps Me.

Well fatness is kind of relative…

I mean no one wants to look fatter than they actually are. So, if I were really skinny, I wouldn’t want to wear something that makes me look wider in certain areas, obviously. I mean that would simply be unsightly. And then I might exaggerate a bit, and say that I look so fat. Which would be an accurate evaluation imo. Usually skinny people though are aware if they are skinny, and fat people if they are fat. Calling themselves “fat” could possibly simply elicit a type of humorous effect.

Likewise, if they were intelligent. I suppose that could be same of intelligence, if you parallelize it the right way.

That’s probably really obvious, but oh well.

I wish I could live in the mind of a brilliant person for one day.

or in the body of a drop dead gorgeous person. Oh, mediocrity.

Read Flowers for Algernon.

^^ Sounds like my female friends.
It’s funny, most of what’s been said on this thread applies to people’s perception of boob and ***** sizes ;)

(rolleye) Conversely, Post #8, do guys think anyone really gives a…yeah…how “naturally smart” you are if your performance points to suckiness? Because you do realize no one cares if your local janitor (not to offend…) is ten times more “naturally intelligent” than, say, the dean of some Ivy League school, right? Really.

I know plenty of dumbasses who will tell you they’re smart if you asked them. They think that grades = intelligence.
