Do you bring your bicycle inside classroom?

I plan on riding my road bike (not some cheap one) which is going to be my mean of transportation. after reading up those who have gotten their bikes stolen, I'm scarred to lock it up outdoors. Would it be weird if I just bring my bike inside class? Do you know people who do this?

Bikes aren’t allowed in most campus buildings…

Just lock it in a bike rack. And if you can’t find one, use a street sign, a lamp post, a parking meter, etc.

Get a big U-Lock. Not a cable lock. It will be fine outside. You can’t bring bikes into the buildings, and you will look silly if you try. If you are still worried, get a cheaper bike to bring.

how far are you riding to class?

go find a bike for $50 and buy a lock for it.

Look up reviews for bike locks on Amazon and similar sites so that you can get an idea of which ones are a better buy and may be more difficult to dismantle.

Once again, Amazon ftw.

just got myself a pretty good u-lock but I still plan on bringing my bike in class if I am able to without looking like a ******, my bike ride will be a 1.5 mile ride from my place to campus and the reason for using a bike is so that I don’t have to pay for that damn expensive permit

there generally isn’t much room in buildings/classrooms for bikes, and you’ll definitely look like a weirdo if you bring it inside. Either lock it to the bike rack that should be outside the building or just find a cheaper bike that won’t be worth stealing or you wouldn’t mind getting stolen.

people are going to be looking at you like “***” while you carry your bike through crowded hallways between classes.

but good luck

There’s usually a bike rack, you can tie it to a tree or a tall lamp post.

I lock my bike to my desk…can never be too safe these day nawm sayn

I saw a girl with a bike inside of a building. When she tried to get out of the classroom she held up everyone because the doors are heavy. I am pretty sure it was not allowed but she did it anyway. I also have no clue where the hell she put it since I know for a fact there isnt anywhere to put it in that particular lecture hall. The only other time I have seen a bike in a school building is when a teacher or older person brings it in and puts it in their office.
