Do you drink?

i had my first drink or so my freshman year in highschool. i dont drink too often, but i dont mind it. im really not much of a beer person, i'll have vodka instead. i prefer the fun drinks, or anything mixed in with OJ or cranberry juice, even diet coke works. and i only got wasted once, but i've never had a hangover, or if i did i didn't notice.

I hope all of you who dislike beer haven't been turned off it by the disgusting nastiness of Bud. If you have, try something else, because there's a whole exciting world of microbrewery beers out there being squashed by their more famous yet nastier commercial cousins.

i never drink. i went to germany and all my friends were like "what the heck, you arent drinking!" stuff tastes nasty to me. i dont mind people that drink, i just dont like drunks. and i dont party... so i'm never really exposed to alcohol either.

Uh...never.
I'd rather have something healthy and with less calories. It's not ladylike to be drunk.

I don't drink, I stopped about 9 months ago due to a medical condition. I'm actually happier not drinking. Despite the fact that in Ireland if you don't drink people look at you as if you're some kind of freak.

I don't drink, but 3/4 of the junior/senior classes do, and I really don't mind. I am good friends with some party/drinking types, and I have my own socially akward friends as well, and I don't care either way. Just don't puke on me, and I'm all good.

"My school is not that great so there is always lots of parties every weekend."

Funny, that's exactly why my school is awesome.

Hard liquor is the best, but as far as beer goes there is some great stuff out there. Fat Tire and New Belgium come to mind.

And I think smoking pot sucks, but that's just me.

I used to be against drinking, but then I realized how fun it is. I would go to parties more often but finding a driver can be hard.
So what's everyone's favorite drink? I'm a fan of screwdrivers mostly. Really most stuff with vodka is good. White Russians are pretty tasty as well.

for some reason when I am drunk, i dont get all flirty/horny/talkative that seems to happen to most people. that always puzzled me a bit.

The worst time was making my own drink already drunk (the result wasnt pretty), but other than that, its been somewhat enjoyable. Im also blessed w not having hangovers :)

i have to say, in terms of fav drinks, 1) ive come to hate ***** beer (smirnoff just gets sickening after awhile) 2) vodka and bicardi are always good 3) i love baileys

corona. without question.

like a fish

Personally I'm a big fan of Grand Marnier. (If only I could afford it more often! The stuff's so damn expensive!)

I've always liked JD, good stuff. Drinking and smoking are both good, but my favorite things about weed have always been the communal spirit, the fact that you feel fine the next day, the laughing, and my favorite thing of all is the heightened response to sounds. Hard to describe. Anways, I just realize I look a lot like Brian Jones. Wow.

I think I'm one of those terrible people y'all hate. I can't stand drinking - and actually, I get really nervous and jumpy around people that are drinking. My mom's an alcoholic, and after taking care of her binging and hangovers, and pretty much seen it ruin her life - well, drinking lost any appeal whatsoever. I know there are people that can handle it and whatever, but my experience just outweighs everything else. I've only tasted alcohol once (curiousity over my mom), and it tasted disgusted. Heh, I'm always the one on weekends or Mondays, and friends talk about getting drunk or their drinking escapades, that ends up giving dirty looks. I just avoid parties with drinking, I think I'd freak out like a gerbil on speed and die.

oneiros, you don't really sound like the holier than thou type. you have a perfectly good reason to not drink and you've found the best way to avoid being annoying--don't go to drinking parties. good for you.

I love Bailey's. Rum is also growing on me. McCormack's makes a tasty orange vodka--yeah, McCormack's.

we dont hate you oneiroslykos8! clearly you have a reason for being against drinking, so its not like you are just making uninformed judgements. just remember that its an individual choice, and it doesnt always have such a negative outcome as youve experienced within your family (that must be really hard, im sorry). so just dont judge people who do drink TOO harshly (although even i find it annoying when people brag about drinking... its just as immature/irritating as people who make uninformed judgements/consider themselves "better" because they dont drink! haha so if theyre being annoying feel free to give them dirty looks)

i'm afraid i'll get trapped in a bad habit and all sorts of things can happen like a ruined career, a ruined life, etcetera. so that's why i'm afraid to drink. and peer pressure doesn't exist because my friends will never let me drink.

you have peer pressure not to drink gianscolere1. It works both ways.

I'll drink on occasion, but mostly just a glass of wine or so on a holiday or at a restaurant.

The only time I was ever trashed was on vacation with my family in Aruba. Me and my sister went out for the night. All I remember is loosing $100 in the casino, going to a few bars, then walking into a glass table in our suite. My mom laughed at me.

i'm not pressured not to drink because my natural instinct tells me not to. it doesn't go both ways for me.
