Do you ever feel like the admissions committee made a mistake in accepting you?

Well I reckon you’ve got three options…

One) Stay at your school for one or two years, then transfer

2) Withdraw from your current school and study at a community college, then transfer

III) Get accustomed to your school

That first option may not be good if you never end up liking the place. It’s hard to motivate yourself to do work when you hate it. The second option might be difficult, but if you really apply yourself and get excellent grades and do things outside of class (e.g. work) then you can transfer to a good four-year. The third option also may or may not be good depending on whether you ever like the school.

As for the negative vibes, you just gotta tell yourself each morning to try and be friendlier. A good training aid is to say hello, how are you etc. to the cafeteria people. You could also say hi to one person a day (I think someone mentioned this earlier). Some will say hey back, some will not respond, some will give you a funny look and that’s okay. The point of it is to get you to be comfortable with the fact that sometimes you’ll be rejected.

Okay, you have two options to fix the problem:

Drop out or transfer

Suck it up and get a nicer attitude so you can find some friends who you like and who like you at your current school

And if there are no people at all who you might get along with at your current school, which I find hard to believe, then either transfer or do something else but stop fussing about how they don’t like you, because it’s not going to do any good. You need to accept the fact that just because other people don’t like you, it may be that you just don’t click with them, not that they hate your guts or anything.

Sorry DC, I posted at almost the same time and didn’t see your post - for some reason it came out sounding like I was just repeating what you said lol.

“If I had to pick between living paycheck to paycheck but always enjoying every day versus making a million dollars a year but wanting to just pull that trigger and end it all each day, I’d take the former”

I disagree, I think I would prefer the suicidal lifestyle.

“DCHurricane, somewhere I don’t hate or somewhere where I won’t be hated?”

I’m willing to bet that 99% of your problems come from your own behavior.
