Do you find it repulsive if someone is obsessed with science?

Specifically, biology, astronomy, and earth science (but practically everything in natural/social science)

and if the person's life was all about science? as in, all his facebook status updates were filled with science-related status updates?

uh no. He or she might just have a passion. I’d much rather have statuses about science or history than statuses about booze, sex, drugs, and the like.

I find it sexually attractive. Come at me.

What does repulsive mean?

^Sexual attraction.

Yes .

I do. When I argue about the Higgs field or Electroweak symmetry breaking with a chick and she really understands it1 I’m just turned on.

For me it is. I don’t like science. I’d rather have a girl have knowledge about cars or be a good debater.

Yes, because biology, astronomy/astrology, earth science, and the social sciences are not science.

Do not insult science!!!

People who are obsessed with very narrow areas of science I don’t find repulsive at all. I really admire the scientific inclination to document something and and learn about it and be meticulous and careful and everything.

I might find repulsive someone who’s self absorbed with their own scientific theories though (like so self absorbed they’ve quit learning about the thing they’re theorizing about).

Let’s test it out:

How much smarter would I be if I didn’t get a concussion one time in sixth grade?

How much smarter would you be if you had actually studied your PR AP Chem textbook instead of just staring at the girl on the cover?

^
I find people obsessed with science to be repulsive. :P

I read everything in there. Made no sense.

“Repulsive” isn’t the right word.

If somebody is passionate about science then I don’t see anything wrong with that. I think that everybody should have a passion in life. However, if it gets to the point where it’s all they talk about, then it would be a little bit annoying. Do they have Aspberger’s or something?

^Maybe. If they do, should they mention it? or not? Does it make them more tolerable if they have it?

well i despise science, so yes, it is repulsive

i used to be like that -_______-
but now history is where its at.

People who hate those who have a passion are just jealous that they don’t get the same enjoyment out of their life. :P

No…
